The Griffin Theatre Company is building their first permanent facility. Morris Architects Planners is re-purposing an abandoned City of Chicago Police Station as an intimate 225-seat proscenium theater. The building maintains the limestone facade and creates a new theater and production spaces within by expanding the existing jail cells and garage areas. The building will be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Evironmental Design) certified.
