Located in a church on Chicago’s Northside, Timeline Theatre has been producing historical dramas for 15 years. The Company is bursting at the seams. When Chicago Public Schools decided to shutter the historic Trumbull School on North Ashland, Timeline teamed up with a local developer to insert a flexible professional theater space into the former school auditorium. This requires a complete removal and reconstruction of the center portion of the u-shaped school. Originally designed by renowned school architect Dwight Perkins, the exterior of the building demands to be preserved. 42 apartments will occupy a ring of former classrooms on the top four floors while ground floor will be devoted to Timelines support spaces including offices, dressing rooms, shops, rehearsal space and a second theater.

Location: Chicago, Illinois.
