The building, midway between the popular Chicago neighborhoods of Wrigleyville and Andersonville, is two blocks from BET’s former location. The new facility contains a 300-seat thrust theater that duplicates the Company’s former theater on a larger scale. There will be a second, flexible theater that will enable the Company to expand its production schedule. Backstage areas support two theaters and include dressing rooms, scene shop, prop shop, costume shop, rehearsal room, and wardrobe room.

The project is designed to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
