Patrick Danaher began practicing architecture in Philadelphia and he has been practicing in Chicago for the last twenty years. His career has focused on delivering well detailed, healthy, energy efficient, buildings people love to be in. He has been involved in all aspects of the professional design services needed to deliver a high quality building project. As a technical Architect with an eye for design he possess an aptitude for leading projects successfully through to completion.

Patrick’s expertise in detailing and documentation has been refined from working on a wide range of project types, from institutional to residential, existing buildings to new construction. A consistent element across all of his projects is providing exemplary client service. The building projects he has worked on have won numerous awards and recognition. Patrick has been involved in low-energy building design and renovations using the Passive House energy design standard, the most aggressive building energy standard in use today.

At Morris Architects Planners, Patrick is applying his architectural expertise to design and actualize contemporary theater spaces. Patrick oversaw the Construction administration of the University of Chicago’s Greenline Performing Arts Center. The compact building is packed with the latest AV and LED lighting technology. Additional projects include an interior renovation at Steppenwolf Theatre to create new rehearsal rooms, a new production/scene shop for Court Theatre, and a new proscenium interior build-out for American Blues Theater. Currently in design is an interior build-out of a Black-box Studio theater and Rehearsal room for Black Ensemble Theater.
